By far the best ceremonial grade matcha I have tried (and I have tried many). I have previously purchased matcha sold as “ceremonial grade” from other brands which have been disappointingly dull, grainy and more expensive! This Matcha Yu matcha has a gorgeous deep colour, and is smooth, creamy, delicate, and delicious. Repeat purchaser here!

By the time you read this review, 60% of my big GFS purchase of JUST matcha chocolate is all - GONE. As soon as it was delivered, I ripped open the 1st pack & ate it all in 10-15mins (to my defence, it was a hot day in Melb, I was 'rescuing it' from the heat - in my tummy haha.) as this is the BEST matcha chocolate I've had in Australia - rich-tasting matcha, doesn't taste like 'white chocolate with green food dye added' like most do, smooth, addictive & most of all delish. It's a little thinner in width than what I expected (looking at past IG posts, I thought it looked more choc-blocky?). It's a great alternative when it's too hot for a matcha latte, run out of ice so you can't make an iced matcha latte, have a chocolate craving but doubly have a matcha craving (..we've all been there). 2x choc bundle is great value, especially if there's no limit & you can order as much as you want. I kinda laughed when the package said 'Best Before 1 Dec 2026' .. hehe, it's a week before Xmas & it'll be lucky there'll be any left before the new year :D

Your matcha has the best flavour I’ve ever tried. I drink it 4–5 days a week, and it helps me stay alert at work, reduces my stress, and makes me feel happier. I just ordered more because it ran out so quickly 😉

Tried 4 other hojicha brands and can honestly say this is the best one for me. I like that it tastes a little chocolatey. It’s not the smoothest unless you sieve it first but I actually enjoy this lightly sandy texture better with my hojicha latte!

Best Matcha tea ever. Like having it in the cafe.
